Terms of Service

Welcome to Pranic Healing DC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at pranichealingdc.com (the "Site") and your participation in any class, workshop, meditation, event, or service (each a "Service") offered by Betterment Fulfilled, LLC.

By using the Site or registering for a Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or register.

1. Who We Are

Pranic Healing DC is operated by Luis Rivera De Jesus, a Certified Pranic Healing Instructor licensed to teach Basic Pranic Healing, Advanced Pranic Healing, and related workshops through the World Pranic Healing Foundation lineage founded by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.

2. Eligibility

To register for a Service you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Minors ages 13–17 may attend a class only if a parent or legal guardian registers on their behalf and provides written consent. Children under 13 are not eligible.

By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or a parent/guardian registering for a minor)

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete

  • You have read and agree to these Terms, our [Privacy Policy], and our Refund Policy

3. Nature of the Services

Pranic Healing DC offers educational instruction in energy healing techniques and complementary wellness practices. The Services are:

  • Educational, not medical

  • Complementary, not a substitute for professional healthcare

  • Spiritual and holistic in tradition, but not religious and not affiliated with any faith

We teach techniques rooted in the Pranic Healing system developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. Certificates of completion issued for our classes are issued through this lineage and do not constitute a medical, therapeutic, psychological, or professional healing license in any jurisdiction.

4. Medical Disclaimer

Please read this section carefully.

Pranic Healing is a complementary energy practice. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, medical treatment, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, or professional healthcare of any kind.

  • Nothing taught in our classes, published on this Site, sent by email, said in person, or shared in our community channels is intended as medical advice, diagnosis, prescription, or treatment.

  • Statements about Pranic Healing's history, use in over 120 countries, or benefits reported by students are informational only and are not medical claims.

  • Testimonials on this Site describe individual student experiences. They do not represent typical results, are not medical outcomes, and are not a promise or prediction of any specific benefit for you.

  • No result — physical, emotional, spiritual, or otherwise — is guaranteed.

You should always:

  • Continue to work with your licensed medical, mental health, and healthcare providers

  • Consult those providers before beginning any new wellness practice, including Pranic Healing, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, managing a chronic illness, taking prescription medication, recovering from surgery, or receiving psychiatric care

  • Seek immediate professional or emergency medical attention for any symptom that requires it — Pranic Healing techniques are not appropriate for emergencies

If you or someone you care about is experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not rely on Pranic Healing techniques in an emergency.

If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please call or text 988 (the U.S. Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), available 24/7.

5. Registration and Payment

  • All registrations are made through the Site or through a link we send you directly.

  • Payments are processed by Wix Payments and any card processor Wix Payments uses. We do not store your full card number on our systems.

  • All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and include applicable processing fees unless stated otherwise.

  • Sales tax is applied where required by law.

  • A registration is confirmed only after we email you a confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation within one business day of payment, contact us immediately.

By completing checkout you authorize us (through Wix Payments) to charge the payment method you provided for the full amount shown at checkout.

6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, transfers to another person, and credit toward future classes are all governed by our separate [Refund Policy], which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The Refund Policy in effect on the day you registered is the one that applies to your registration.

7. Code of Conduct in Class and in Our Community

Our classes and community channels (in-person events, WhatsApp practice group, email, meditation sessions) are open, respectful, safe environments for people of every background, faith, and belief system.

You agree that while participating in any Service you will:

  • Treat instructors, fellow students, hosts, and venue staff with respect and consideration

  • Refrain from disruptive, aggressive, discriminatory, harassing, or threatening behavior

  • Refrain from proselytizing for any religion, business, MLM, or political cause during class or in the community group

  • Not distribute copies of course materials, recordings, or manuals to non-students

  • Not audio-record, video-record, photograph, or livestream the class without our prior written permission

  • Follow reasonable instructions from the instructor and from any venue staff regarding safety, accessibility, and use of the space

  • Refrain from attending class while under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs

We reserve the right to remove any student from a class or community channel — with or without a refund, at our discretion — for behavior that materially disrupts the class, endangers others, or violates this Code of Conduct. In cases of harassment, threats, or discrimination, no refund will be offered.

8. Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Site, the Services, and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability.

  • We do not warrant that the Site or Services will meet your specific needs, be uninterrupted, be error-free, or produce any particular result.

  • Our total liability to you, for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Site, the Services, or these Terms, will not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the six (6) months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

  • We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages,including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, personal injury (except as required by law), emotional distress, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud.

9. Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation in Pranic Healing classes and any Service:

  • Involves physical movement (standing, walking, arm movement, and hands-on partner practice)

  • May involve emotional release, temporary discomfort, dizziness, or other physical or emotional responses as energy is worked with

  • Is undertaken voluntarily, and you assume all risks associated with your participation

You represent that:

  • You are physically and mentally able to participate safely, to the best of your knowledge

  • You have disclosed to us any relevant condition (pregnancy, injury, chronic illness, psychiatric condition, recent surgery, mobility limitation, etc.) that could affect your ability to participate safely

  • You will stop, rest, ask for accommodation, or leave the room at any time if you feel unwell

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site and in the Services — including but not limited to text, images, videos, meditations, audio recordings, course manuals, PDFs, worksheets, our name, our logo, our branding, and the arrangement and design of the Site — is either owned by us, licensed to us, or used with permission from the World Pranic Healing Foundation and Grand Master Choa Kok Sui's estate.

  • You may use materials we provide only for your own personal, non-commercial practice.

  • You may not copy, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, adapt, translate, or teach from our materials without our prior written permission.

  • The Basic Pranic Healing Certificate of Completion authorizes you to practice Pranic Healing for yourself and others; it does not authorize you to teach it. Teaching Pranic Healing requires separate certification through the World Pranic Healing Foundation.

  • "Pranic Healing®" is a registered trademark used under license from the World Pranic Healing Foundation.

11. Testimonials and Student Content

If you share a testimonial, quote, review, photo, or video with us — by email, text, in person, on social media, or through any other channel — you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit for length or clarity (without changing meaning), display, and distribute that content on this Site, in our email marketing, and in our advertising.

We will:

  • Only publish attributed content (name/initial, role, city, photo) that you have specifically approved

  • Never share your last name, email, phone number, or contact details

  • Remove your testimonial from the Site within 30 days of a written request from you

You can revoke your permission at any time by emailing info@pranichealingdc.com. This does not affect uses already made in printed or offline materials before we received your request, but we will stop future use.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to third-party websites, tools, or services (Wix, Wix Payments, Google, WhatsApp, the World Pranic Healing Foundation, guest teachers, host venues, etc.). We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, practices, or terms.

Your use of any third-party site or service is governed by that third party's terms and privacy policy, not ours.

13. Communications and Marketing

By registering for a Service or subscribing to our email list, you consent to receive:

  • Transactional emails and text messages related to your registration (confirmation, reminders, logistics, materials, follow-up)

  • Our newsletter, The Energy Within, and occasional promotional emails about upcoming classes and events

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter, or by emailing info@pranichealingdc.com. Transactional emails related to a class you are enrolled in will continue until the class is complete.

If we send text messages, message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

14. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our [Privacy Policy], which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and — for meaningful changes — notify registered students by email.

The version of these Terms in effect on the day you registered for a Service is the version that governs that registration. Changes we make after you register do not apply retroactively to your existing registration.

Your continued use of the Site after we post updated Terms means you accept the updated version for any future registration or use.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them, the Site, or the Services are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Before starting any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at info@pranichealingdc.com and give us at least 30 days to resolve the issue directly. Most concerns can be resolved quickly by a phone call.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the courts located in [YOUR VIRGINIA COUNTY — e.g., Fairfax County, Virginia] will have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we consent to personal jurisdiction there. You and we each waive any objection to venue in those courts.

🔧 Use the county where your business is registered. If you are a sole proprietor in Centreville, that is Fairfax County. If you formed an LLC and registered it in a different county, use that one.

🔧 Some businesses prefer binding arbitration (AAA or JAMS) instead of court. This is a real tradeoff and has consumer-protection consequences — ask your attorney whether an arbitration clause makes sense for a small in-person class business. For most solo instructors in Virginia, court in your home county is simpler and cheaper. I have not included an arbitration clause here.

17. Severability, Entire Agreement, and Assignment

  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

  • These Terms — together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy — are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and the Services, and they supersede any prior agreement or understanding on the same subject.

  • You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written permission. We may assign these Terms if we sell or restructure the business, provided your rights are not materially diminished.
